Project objective

The BAS technology is a compact high rate nitrification system for industrial wastewater. This technology is already successful applied. In this project we will work on the extension of this reactor for denitrification. A newly designed reactor will be studied on its hydrodynamic characteristics on pilot scale. Based on this characterization a mathematical model for the scale-up and optimization of the process will be formulated. This reseacrh will also contribute to a further understanding of three phase reactor systems.
