Project objective

The objectives of this network are twofold and are concerned with both problems and to find innovative solutions for the future high technology theoretical and experimental results. On the theoretical side, the general objective is to gain a better understanding of microlasers and cavity QED products and processes. The research field of microlasers and cavity QED ranges from very basic physics, linked to the foundations of quantum through the establishment of more elaborate theories than the existing mechanics, to more applied subjects which can be anticipated to be part of ones. On the experimental side, the objectives are to demonstrate the effects predicted by the new theories and to propose compact sources of tomorrow's technologies. On one hand, it touches on fascinating and still light with tailored quantum noise and methods of measurements taking unresolved issues between quantum mechanics and classical physics. On the advantage of the quantum properties of the field. For each objective, we other hand, light is increasingly used for communications either over long distances or in local networks, and in the long run, photonics could review in the detailed description below the worldwide state of the art and bring out the novelty and originality of our proposal. replace electronics for a number of applications. This network, with the very well complemented skills of its partners, will train a large number of young scientists capable of mastering the various aspects of optics, including its quantum features, thus reinforcing the human resources of Europe in a rapidly expanding field.
