Research objectives and content The synthesis of divergent intermediates for the generation of spicamycin and analogues, which may be promising as potential cancer and tuberculosis therapeutics. Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact) This project provides an opportunity to do exciting chemistry, using new techniques and aspects of modern synthetic and bioorganic chemistry. Links with industry / industrial relevance (22) The project will receive an important support from pharmaceutical c companies. We will work in collaboration with their biologists.
