Project objective
The theory of infinite dimensional processes in Euclidean spaces is an active field of research, with applications to Markov fields, quantum fields and different models of statistical mechanics. Moreover, connections with stochastic partial differential equations have been established. On the other hand, an analogous theory for space-time processes in Minkowskian spaces is still missing, due to the difficulties connected with the pseudo-Riemannian structure. Our objectives are mainly the following: to study in detail the stochastic processes arising in the comoving coordinates approach , in view of possible applications to infinite dimensional diffusions both in Euclidean and Minkowskian spaces; to compare this approach with the clock space one and to look for explicit connections: to extend in the relativistic setting the results recently obtained on the approximation of Gaussian measures via Poisson measures.
