Reactivity of clean and modified oxide surfaces

Project objective

Using a wide range of advanced experimental methods this network, OXIDESURFACES, will give a new focus on catalysis and will, by working together inside the network on 3 selected metal-oxide surfaces, be a Research Training Network and provide training for 6 postdoctoral fellows per year in the special skills and know-how -for which there also is an industrial need for researchers- suitable for the proposed tasks, each of the postdocs also working, in 3-months visits with 2 other groups of the Network. Each of the EC-funded postdoctoral scientists will participate approximately once a year in International workshops or conferences and there present the obtained results. It is also important that the young researcher through the previously described plan of 3-months stays with at least two other network teams who use different but complementary methods.
