Project objective

The objectives of the training programme are threefold:* to provide the young researchers with the skills required for the successful completion of the research project;* to provide the young researchers with skills and competencies which will enable them to serve as researchers in the most technologically advanced branches of European industry;* to provide the young researchers with an understanding of the importance of basic science not only for the continued advancement of technology, but also for the cultural state of the European Community. Pre-doctoral researchers will receive training from the doctoral programmes of the universities involved in the network. The pooling of resources from 5 universities in 4 countries will allow for a substantial added value over and above what could be realized in the individual countries. Both pre- and post-doctoral researchers will receive additional training through workshops organized by the network.
