Project objective

Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU) - NPO Institute Marie Curie Fellowships The WU's NPO-Institute is offering a number of fellowships (duration 3-12 months) for doctoral students who display appropriate research potential and whose work focuses on the area of nonprofit organizations. The NPO Institute ranks among the leading NPO research centres in the German-speaking world. It comprises 26 researchers at the WU drawn from a variety of disciplines (economics, business administration, sociology, law) and is involved in numerous interdisciplinary projects related specifically to NPOs, on an ongoing basis. Further information about the NPO Institute is available on the internet, at : www.npo.or.at Fellows will contribute to the Institute's active research environment, participating in its research projects and related activities, attending relevant courses and interacting with other doctoral students. Supervision and research training will be provided by the Institute. A fellowship at the NPO Institute offers many opportunities to extend the range of your academic skills, including: - experience of working on research projects under the direction of experienced project directors - interdisciplinary contacts, through participation in meetings, working groups and other events - experience of independent work on delimited research issues (under the guidance of several supervisors) - international networking; contact with international research networks through project involvement and work on the Institute's own NPO web portal
