Project objective

The Department of Physical Electronics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheirn, NORWAY, offers training in modeling, design, testing, characterization and measurement methods and techniques for nanometer and very deep sub micron electronics, including interfacing with MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical Systems). Examples of research training areas are: Low power/low voltage digital circuit design for complex SoCs; efficient methods for Built-In-Self-Test; accurate modeling of analog and digital devices and circuits with nanometer feature size; processing of test chips; measurement and characterization of processed chips. We provide a full suite of state-of -the-art design tools and high quality measurement equipment, and contact with advanced national design houses. We have access to 130 and 180 nanometer design rules and Multi Project Wafer fabrication. We can also offer remote, Web-based measurements and characterization The research training takes place at Norway's main university for microelectronics technology and design in the county of Soer- Troendelag, or Kjeller outside Oslo. Preference will be given to research fellows wishing to stay 8-9 months. We particularly welcome applications from women and fellows from southern Europe.
