Project objective
The research proposal is designed to reveal the mechanistic basis for the coupling of alternative splicing of genes with the initiation of programmed cell death (apoptosis) by: 1) mechanistic studies of the proapoptotic TIA-1 splicing regulatory factor and 2) dissection of the mechanisms of alternative splicing of the apoptotic hTAF,, 80 gene.
