Накратко на български

Слънчеви стъкла с висока топлоизолация се разработват за прозорци и покриви на сгради. Те намаляват разходите за отопление и охлаждане, като същевременно ограничават вредните емисии от въглероден диоксид в атмосферата.

Development of Heat Insulation Solar Glass for Low Carbon Buildings

(1) Summary overview of results All the tasks in the project were achieved and the research result satisfied the original objective of the project. On the aspect of finished tasks, it included advanced research on the high efficiency heat insulation solar glass, development of smart heat insulation solar glass, installing and testing of HISG on BASF house at University Of Nottingham and simulation and economic assessment of HISG on energy efficiency buildings. On the aspect of publications, it included three published SCI Journal papers, one submitted journal papers and three stand alone publishable reports for the REA or the Commission. (2) Potential impact According to a continuous site testing from Oct. 2014 to June 2015 of two 3m x 3m x 3m glass houses as shown in Fig 1, the Heat Insulation Solar Glass (HISG) house gained 685 kWh for 265 days. It can supplied all the heating and cooling consumption of 317 kWh during 265 days and remained 368 kWh. Contrarily, the ordinary glass house consumed 587 kWh on cooling and heating system. The energy efficiency during these 265 days could be 955 kWh due to the contribution from HISG as shown in Fig 2. The HISG has been proved to possess the highest capacity of energy efficiency for low carbon buildings in the world. (3) Socio-economic impact The HISG is expected to apply on the vertical window or skylight on buildings up to 20,000 square meters per year and gain capital value of 10,000,000 US dollars per year. According to a computer simulation in the project on the energy saving of a 26m x 26 m skylight on a 4 m high building in London and Abu Dhabi, the HISG can save 173,993 kWh and 256,512 kWh and decrease CO2 of 121,795 and 179,558 kg respectively while compared with normal glass. (4) Real applications There were two real applications of HISG in this project during these two years. One is applied on the BASF Creative Homes in the campus in Aug. 2014 as shown in Fig 3. Another is applied on a green house in Taiwan in Oct. 2015 as shown in Fig 4. (5) Publishable reports Three journal papers had been published in these two years and one submitted. There are also four publishable reports: publishable report 1: Solar power generation of Heat Insulation Solar Glass on BASF house, publishable report 2: Development and experimental study of Smart Heat Insulation Solar Glass, and publishable report 3 : Energy efficiency simulation and economic assessment of Heat Insulation Solar Glass. All the publishable reports will be enhanced on the content and then submit to a Journal for public. (6) Relevant target groups The research related to several target groups as follow: 1. Vale Window Company contributed on the production of HISG; 2. Attended many seminar or conferences held by UK Green Building Council (UKGBC); 3. Attended World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (WSSET) and promoted the sustainable energy technologies; 4. Became a membership of Marie Curie Fellows Association (MCFA) to continue promoting the technology on energy efficiency buildings for EU; (7) Project website I established a web site http://web.ntust.edu.tw/~young/marie_curie.htm to show the contribution of this project and promote the technology on energy efficiency buildings for public. The main objective is to create a better ecologic environment for next generation and try to reduce the crisis of global warming.

Цел на проекта

This International Fellowship will bring an excellent Chinese researcher Prof. C.H. Young from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology to work in Europe. The project has been carefully chosen to match Prof. C.H. Young expertise in Heat Insulation Solar Glass (HISG) for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) with the expertise in sustainable energy and buildings technologies at the University of Nottingham so as to maximize the benefit to Europe. The heat insulation solar glass developed by Prof. C.H. Young can possess higher power generation, heat insulation, saving air condition in summer time and saving heater in winter time. It could be applied both in southern and northern Europe. The participation of Prof. C.H. Young could bring the knowledge and application of heat insulation solar glass and associated technology transfer into European countries. This project will combine the heat insulated glass developed by Prof Young with the six Creative Energy Homes project at the University of Nottingham directed by Professor Saffa Riffat. There are four main steps in this project : (1) Advanced research on the high efficiency heat insulation solar glass to gain more solar power and save more energy consumption to apply in European countries; (2) Testing on BASF Solar Passive House of six Creative Energy Homes at University of Nottingham by adding the application of heat insulation solar glass to monitor its efficiency; (3) Simulation on BASF Solar Passive House by adding the application of heat insulation solar glass to compare with the testing result; (4) Economic and technical assessment of heat insulation solar glass applied on BASF Solar Passive House at Nottingham University. The project could bring out both academic and application contributions on development of low/zero carbon buildings to satisfy the requirement of the Code for Sustainable Homes Equivalent Levels 3 and 6 (zero carbon).
