Цел на проекта
The NEED project is aimed at drawing guidelines and training staff for future development in the field of nano-science, nanotechnology and advanced materials in the NANOSAM Centre of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Research on nanostructured and advanced materials will definitely be one of the decisive factors in shaping the future growth of the society in Europe. That is especially important for Associated Candidate Countries like Poland, where links between pure science and applied technology is not sufficiently effective. NEED activities will integrate efforts of scientists from Poland and various European laboratories to establish feedback between the fundamental research and the applied oriented investigations. Research performed under the NEED project in the field of advanced materials and nanotechnology will prompt intensive interaction between various R and D institutions both on Polish and European scale.The aims will be accomplished by extensive transfer of knowledge by increased twinning between the NANOSAM Centre and involved European research centres and by research and education capacity building at the Centre through a series of visits of experienced researchers allowing for both exchange experience and ideas and growing experimental and theoretical skills. The presence of the guests in the NANOSAM Centre will also give a unique chance for Jagiellonian University science students to get involved in research in one of the hottest areas of modern science.
