Накратко на български
Мембранни филтри от полимери и наночастици се тестват за по-ефективно разделяне на газове. Това помага да се разбере кои материали са устойчиви на вредни примеси като сероводород при пречистването на природен газ.

DR HIPERGAS
1. General: • Aim of this project; o Technical/Scientific: Investigate various possible ways to improve membrane performances to get high performance membrane (WP1: By Mixed Matrix Membrane (MMM), WP2: by improvement of substrate - WP2, and WP3: PolyElectrolyte Complex (PEC)), where in all 3 WPs investigation on stability under commercially relevant gas conditions will be investigated. o Training of researchers under academic/industrial environment, with tailored unique training programs on both technical/industrial aspects, resulting in Ph.D. degrees with industrial experience. • Partners: Fujifilm (NL) and Katholic University of Leuven (BE) as primary partners hosting researchers, and The Universität der Bundeswehr München (DE), TNO (NL) as secondary partners. 2. Main Results/Achievements on Technical Development: • Various MMM membranes were made, several of which actually showed improvement of selectivity instead of improvement of flux, which is unique phenomena. • Also parameters study were done to get thin layer composite membrane of MMM with nano-particles of Metal-Organic Framework (MOF). • Characterization of investigated MMMs with PLEPS (Pulsed Low Energy Positron System), which reveled asymmetric distribution of MOF/Polymer mixture inside MMM. • Detail parameter study was done for Poly Electrolyte Complex for gas separation membrane application, in which fundamental difficulty was identified for formation of high performance membrane. • Stability investigation with natural gas field including H2S and H2O reveled that some of MOFs are not stabile under H2S/H2O containing gases even if it is dispersed in polymer matrix, which makes unsuitable for natural gas applications. 3. Main Results on Training of Researchers: • Project Researchers have received unique training in both academic and also industrial partners, e.g. technical training (PLEPS workshop by The Universität der Bundeswehr München, Gas Separation Process Technology Workshop by SINTEF (NO)), and industrial trainings (IP training, Agile Project Management Training). Many of those training programs were opened also to external researchers. • As a result, 1 Researcher have achieved enough results for Ph.D. (Thesis and Defense ongoing), and another researcher has shifted his interest in Industrial Engineering after industrial experience. Both 2 researchers has received position within international enterprises. 4. Other information: • Website: www.drhipergas.eu • Contact: Yujiro Itami (Fujifilm: yujiro.itami@fujifilm.com)

Цел на проекта
This project is called DoctoRate on HIgh PERformance GAS separation membrane (DR HIPERGAS) and the consortium consists of two level one partners, the Catholic University of Leuven and Fujifilm, and two level two partners, TNO and the Unversitat der Bundeswehr Munchen. The main research objective of the research program is to answer the scientific key questions concerning gas separation (GS) membrane functions, which inhibit their commercial market introductions. The project aims to design new thin layer membrane systems, suitable for use in the (acid gas) GS market. More specifically, the program aims to (1) improve the performance of thin selective CO2 separation coatings, (2) improve the membrane system stability for industrial applications and (3) gain a better understanding of the correlation between applied membrane material properties and gas separation performances. To reach these objectives, the research program will involve research in new membrane material concepts, study membrane separation processes, as well as the application of innovative evaluation methods for membrane structure and performance. The main training objective is to offer a unique training program, integrating a high leveled scientific education with an experimental research program in both, an academic and an industrial research environment. It aims to develop talented students into excellent researchers in the field of membrane technology and materials sciences, equally skilled to start a successful career in the Academic or in the private sector. The three PhD students will receive on-the-job training in analytical techniques, material synthesis methods, processing technologies and design of membrane separation units, both on a lab/research scale and on an industrial/commercial scale. Moreover they will be involved intensively in general management and personal skills training programs, to prepare them in a wide sense for their future career in Industry or Academy.""
