Накратко на български
Хибридна система за 3D принтиране на полимери, подсилени с влакна, комбинира точност на обработката с възможност за насочване на нишките. Това помага за създаването на по-евтини и функционални части за автомобилната и аерокосмическата индустрия.

Directional Composites through Manufacturing Innovation
The DiCoMI project’s overall goal was to develop a low-cost hybrid system that will combine the fibre directionality obtained from 5-axis material extrusion with the accuracy obtained from other machining techniques in order to create a truly novel composites manufacturing system capable of producing parts with increased accuracy, reduced cost and enhanced functionality. DiCoMI focused on Directional Fibre-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) materials and combined different manufacturing techniques into a unique and innovative hybrid system. To develop this innovative hybrid manufacturing system, the following scientific and technical objectives were targeted: * Objective 1: Define the optimal performances specifications for the DiCoMI system process and materials according to the selected industries' requirements. * Objective 2: Develop and test a range of polymer/fibre combinations matching pre-defined specifications. * Objective 3: Design the system with appropriate manufacturing processes parameters. * Objective 4: Build and test the prototype for specific directional composite/FRP components. The DiCoMI project had a direct impact on the European and international scientific state of the art in the fields of composite materials and manufacturing equipment, while supporting innovation potential in the automotive and aerospace industries. The outcome was a truly novel prototype composites manufacturing system capable of producing parts with increased accuracy, reduced cost and enhanced functionality.

Цел на проекта
The Directional Composites through Manufacturing Innovation (DiCoMI) project aims to bring together leading innovatorsfrom across Europe, and beyond, to develop a new method of producing composite material parts with optimised fibredirectionality. The DiCoMI project will integrate advanced manufacturing techniques, composite materials science, andmanufacturing system design. As such, it requires a high level of inter-disciplinary cooperation as well as collaborationbetween researchers and industrials. The outcome will be a truly novel composites manufacturing system capable of producing parts with increased accuracy, reduced cost and enhanced functionality.DiCoMI project will focus on Directional Fibre-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) materials and combined different manufacturing techniques into a unique and innovative hybrid system.
