Цел на проекта

The European Researchers' Night in Armenia (ERNA) aims to bring scientists and the public closer together, showing how research shapes our daily lives and inspiring young people to consider careers in science. Taking place on the last Friday and Saturday of September 2026 and 2027 in Armenia’s three major cities, ERNA will turn the country into a space of scientific discovery and excitement, offering a diverse, inclusive and engaging programme of fascinating activities that welcomes individuals from all walks of life - reaching every corner of society. A programme that goes beyond traditional science communication where science is made tangible through active engagement of participants with the content and researchers. Alongside the main events, a series of fascinating pre- and post-events will be held throughout the year, reaching almost all the regions of Armenia, including the “Researchers at Schools” initiative, where scientists will meet pupils and teachers to discuss today’s global challenges and how research helps to solve them. These activities will be aligned to the key EU priorities such as the Sustainable Development Goals, the Green Deal, and the EU Missions on Climate, Cancer, Healthy Oceans and Waters, Healthy Soil and Food, People and Nature, Smart Cities, and Inclusive Science, highlighting the strong European dimension and showcasing EU-funded researchers.By reaching a wide audience from “science lovers” to “science haters”, ERNA aims to strengthen public trust in research and spark curiosity in STEM fields, with a special focus on encouraging girls to pursue scientific careers. The events will bring together universities, research institutes, museums, hospitals, NGOs, start-ups, SMEs, EU initiatives, Horizon Europe NCPs, researchers, MSCA fellows, all working together to promote a shared love and understanding of science across Armenia.
