Цел на проекта
The project's main objective is investigating the development of artificial social intelligence for autonomous robots. The scenario consists of an imitating robot, copying other robots' movements. This should enable the robot (1) to identify other individuals in the group in order to allow specific complex social interactions, and (2) to learn new movement patterns. The project should elicit the basic requirements and constraints which are necessary for implementing imitation capabilities in a group of robots. This covers the whole range from theoretical investigations to technical work (design of the robots and of the environment), conceptual work (developing control architectures) up to implementation, test, and documentation of the experiments. The 'artificial social intelligence approach' to developing intelligent artifacts is a new and highly interdisciplinary research direction which contrasts mainstream approaches in artificial intelligence, artificial life and robotics. The results should point out a new direction towards building intelligent artifacts.
