The chromatography separation of enantiomers is, nowadays, a very important subject that shows great interest in certain scientific areas. Several stationary phases have been employed but, the best resolution between enantiomers of compounds with different chemical characteristics, was achieved by coupling several columns with different kinds of stationary phases, or using a multi-chiral selector. On the other hand supercritical fluid chromatography has been recognize to have superior characteristics than other chromatographic techniques. The aim of this work is to examine the possibilities that vancomycin ca offer as a multi-chiral selector in the SFC for enantiomer separations. For this purpose, in the first place, we will tray to obtain a vancomycin stationary phase, to continue with the study of its stability and capability of separation for drugs and pesticides enantiomers and finally, we will also compare the results with those obtained in chiral separations by HPLC.
