The research work will consist in deriving effective theories and their applications to dynamical symmetry breaking in the strong and electroweak interactions. Dynamical symmetry breaking has a wide range of applications (e.g. chiral dynamics, superconductivity, superfluidity, electroweak symmetry breaking). Computer simulations will be developed, when needed, in order to compare predictions with experimental data (experiments at the European laboratory of CERN will be in particular considered). Results are expected in the analysis of semileptonic-decays, non-leptonic decays of heavy mesons and heavy quarkonium for what concerns the strong interactions. On the other hand, the analysis of dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking may help improve our understanding of the generation of mass at the electroweak level. Part of the research effort will be devoted to the study and development of new techniques to go beyond the symmetry approach of the effective theories.
