Цел на проекта
The aim of this project is to provide a better understanding of the role played by European universities in research networks funded by European Union targeted R&D programmes. The project addresses two main questions. First, how is the participation of universities in research networks influenced by the internationalization of research and changes in the organization and production of knowledge? Second, what factors determine the selection of participants in EU R&D projects? Four main activities will be accomplished. First, a literature review that will analyze the role of public, semi-public and private research networks in the knowledge production process and the role of universities in these networks will be carried out. Second, an empirical analysis of the participation of French university research centres in the Brite-Euram programme will be developed. Third, a model of the selection process will be constructed. Finally, a policy analysis of the main findings will be conducted.
