Research objectives and content The objective is to develop an alternative vocabulary of policy analysis with which policy (processes) can be analysed taking premises of non-centrality, non-linearity and Fragmentation into account In addition, compared to the policy cycle, human relationships will explicitly be pan of this new policy discourse. In order to develop this other understanding of policy (processes) three approaches in particular win be combined: analysing political argumentation, (re)constructing narratives, and identifying stakeholders. This will lead to a social interactive and narrative policy analysis which will be used and tested by doing Field research. Changing the methodology has consequences for the role of the policy analyst who should become more a negotiater and a change-agent instead of an expert in order to fit the objective of policy analysis: supporting local processes of democratisation. The policy analyst should pay special attention to citizens' point of view, a-symmetrical relationships and the diverging meanings produced in these relationships. Training content ( objective, benefit and expected impact ) - Developing a new methodology on policy analysis md experimenting with a new role for the policy analyst. - Working among Danish researchers who uniquely combine local research into public policy and governance with questions of (post)modernity and democracy.
