Цел на проекта
Research objectives and content The goal of my project (based on a forhtcoming collaboration with Muller-Stach, Essen) is to prove a Bloch-Ogus formula for the sheaf associated to the Milnor K-theory, by using Bloch's higher Chow groups. Such formula has applications in the important theory of algebraic cycles. We also expect to prove, as a consequence of our study, general results relating higher Chow groups of rings to cohomology theories arising from algebraic geometry with application to motivic cohomology, which is an area of current research. As the cornerstone of this project is the theory of algebraic cycles and the cohomological methods used in algebraic geometry, it appears that the research group, based in Essen, led by Professors Esnault and Viehweg, who are leading experts in the area, is the only place in Europe where I can realize this project. Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact) Main training aspect: Learn advanced topics in cohomological methods used in algebraic geometry and in the theory of algebraic cycles. Main benefit: A stay in Essen would give to me the unique opportunity to enrich my scientific production, upgrading my competence and establishing fruitful contacts with numerous European mathematicians.
