The goals of the research project can be summarized as the further development of the program package APACIC++/AMEGIC++ designed for the simulation of particle collisions at high energies. Such simulation programs are indispensable tools for the interpretation and quantitative analysis of experiments on sub nuclear scales i. e. in the realm of particle physics. In the framework of future experiments with rising energies (for instance LHC, TESLA), new physical phenomen pose a challenge on such programs necessitating more refined solutions, both on the physics and on the implementation level . The new program package APACIC++/AMEGIC++ follows the requests of the community, being programmed in an object oriented style in the language C++. Included in this package, a new developed approach to combine matrix elements and parton showers has been implemented for the first time. The goal now is to extend this concept and the program itself from the well understood electron positron annihilation processes of the LEP era to the proton proton collisions investigated at the LHC at CERN, Geneva. For this, the following steps have to be achieved:1. Parton shower in the initial state;2. their combination with matrix elements;3. inclusion of unstable particles in the final state parton shower;4 . inclusion of models beyond the Standard Model into the matrix element generator AMEGIC++ and its improvement.
