Цел на проекта

Europe currently holds the lead in the field of 3D spectroscopic instrumentation. However, we lack among young researchers the expertise required to interpret 3D data and to convert this lead into scientific progress. Training of young researchers is clearly the key to dissemination of expertise into the European astronomical community. The aim is to train young researchers not only in hand-on" techniques of 3D spectroscopy such as instrument development, observations, data reduction and analysis, but also to support them in applying those techniques to cutting-edge scientific problems. The former will provide them deep insight into 3D spectroscopy for a full understanding of the method; the latter will provide them large visibility in their scientific field and encourage furthers researchers to use the innovative technique. Through workshops and a Winter School, the techniques will be diffused into the community, the young researchers of the network forming the vanguard. The current European advantage in 3D instrumentation will be harnessed into excellent European science, and secured over the next generation of scientists."
