Research Training in Plasma Science and Technology (PLASMAST) The National Centre for Plasma Science and Technology at Dublin City University offers EU-Marie Curie Research Training Fellowships (3-12 Months) Research Training is Offered In:Optical and particle diagnostics of DC and RF low temperature plasmas;emission, absorption and laser spectroscopy of laser plasmas and electrical discharges;numerical modeling of plasmas;thin film deposition (via pulsed laser, magnetron sputtering and neutral beam systems);plasma surface modification/processing of electronic materials and industrial coatings; plasma enhanced chemistry and surface analysis Expertise and Facilities: Range of RF and DC low temperature plasma devices;Automated probe systems;Extensive suite of picoseconds, nanosecond solid state/tuneable dye lasers and OPO;Various high resolution FTIR/IR - X-ray spectrometers;Pulsed laser deposition (PLD) systems;Magnetron sputter systems with ion mass and energy analysis of deposition fluxes;Range of CCD and ICCD imaging systems; XRD, UHV-STM, AFM, LEED-Auger surface characterization. Candidates: Postgraduate students pursuing doctoral students in a country other than the Republic of Ireland. Minimum Qualification (or equivalent) Required: B.Sc. (Honours 2nd class or higher) or M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, and Electronic/Mechanical Engineering. Materials Science or related areas.
