Цел на проекта
The Optics Group at the University of Salamanca is looking for a postdoctoral scientist to work in the early stages of the new Terawatt laser laboratory recently approved. The selected candidate will join a young and very active group working in strong laser physics. The group is consolidated in numerical simulations and now is opening an experimental research line on this subject. Particularly relevant is that this system is, for the moment, the only terawatt service in Spain, therefore good projection of the experimental research to the industrial tissue is expected. Experience in chirped pulse amplification systems and subpicosecond laser pulses will be considered for the selection process. Salamanca is a small city. 200 km west from Madrid. The University of Salamanca is the oldest university of Spain. Besides, the University plays now a central role in the life of the town, with a lot of cultural activity. European Commission fixes a level of salary that is quite high for the living standards of Salamanca.
