The aim of the project NONREGWKAM consists in enlightening weak KAM Theory and Lagrangian dynamics from a new point of view that is directed to point out and exploit fundamental interactions of this theory with different problems coming from the Calculus o f Variations and PDEs which are naturally posed in a non-smooth setting. It is possible to summarize the approach that will be employed in the following steps:- To generalize the dynamical approach and extend the results of weak KAM Theory to the case of non-regular Hamiltonians;- To deeply explore connections and applications of non-regular weak KAM Theory and generalized dynamical techniques to the study of properties of absolute minimal Lipschitz extensions in connection with EulerAronsson equation;- To explore further generalizations of non-regular weak KAM Theory to the stationary ergodic setting. The novelty relies on the use of generalized dynamical techniques, exploitable in presence of a convex Hamiltonian, which is solely continuous, i.e. when a flow cannot be in general defined. These objectives have been selected as the ones with highest priority for the importance of their applications and for the high value expected from the interaction of the researcher with A. Fathi. A long list of problems and questions falls in each section of the project and a series of connections between different areas of research arise in this framework.By participating in the mobility action the researcher will receive training through research in the advanced methods and techniques of weak KAM Theory and Lagrangian Dynamical Systems, which will furnish him more tools to investigate relationships between these areas in the framework of the present project. He will benefit of the research links of the host to improve his contacts and collaborations elsewhere. All of these aspects provide an excellent base to allow him to establish as an expert in a broad and important area of Mathematics.
