Цел на проекта

The Agents Group of the University of Edinburgh conducts research on agents and multiagent systems, in particular multiagent learning, agent interaction and communication and agent-oriented software engineering. Its research focuses on three key aspects of intelligent agents and multiagent systems: Dealing with agent autonomy, learning to communicate and engineering open systems. MicroArt is a partner of eTumour project and has the responsibility of applying Agents into the distributed system for brain tumour diagnosis.Mariola Mier and Xavier Rafael, who work in MicroArt, are the persons who would stay for a year in the Agent Group of the University of Edinburgh, in order to boost their knowledge of Agents technology. Moreover, MicroArt leads a project proposal (HealthAgents) already sent to the European Commission for extend the Agent functionalities of eTumour project. Although the University of Edinburgh had no relation to eTumour, in this new proposal, was invited and is a partner of the team. An objective of this project is also to start the collaboration between MicroArt and the University of Edinburgh.Mariola Mier and Xavier Rafael from MicroArt would follow a MSc research supervised by Michael Rovatsos , whom research topic focuses on multiagent systems and distributed Artificial Intelligence. Since September 2004 he is a lecturer at the Centre For Intelligent Systems and their Applications of the School of Informatics at The University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
