Цел на проекта
In recent years we have witnessed a remarkable renaissance in the interaction between geometry and physics. Our research concentrates on topics in mathematical physics, which have geometry at the heart: differential geometry of manifolds linked to gravity and string theory, metric aspects of Kähler manifolds, singularities and topological defects and non-commutative geometry.The proposed project is centred around extending mathematical competence of the host group, by providing transfer of knowledge in modern mathematics: geometry and partial differential equations, related to our research. By concentrating on recent developments in mathematics and mathematical physics we shall aim at reinforcing the inter-disciplinarity of our research, creating a fertile environment for successful research linking mathematics with interesting problems of theoretical physics.
